CompanyOverview: We are a dynamic, US-based tech startup revolutionizing user experience in the B2B space. We specialize in onboarding, user engagement, and in-app guidance, as a formidable competitor to WalkMe and Pendo. We’re looking to hire our first UX Designer to spearhead our design initiatives and harmonize UX across all customer touchpoints—product and marketing alike.Role Summary:As a UX Designer, you’ll be responsible for establishing UX as a standalone function within the organization. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Marketing teams to deliver outstanding user experiences across our web applications and marketing platforms. This role encompasses a blend of UX design, some visual design, and a focus on QA to ensure impeccable product releases.
Responsibilities:
Wireframing: Design and present wireframes, diagrams, user flows, and prototypes. Work with Product and Project management to execute wireframes in Figma, developing properly labeled and layered artifacts that can be used in conjunction with the specifications to push new features to the dev team for development. Comfortable doing quick low-fidelity mocks as well as more detailed literal versions of ideas and features. Establishing and maintaining design systems in Figma. Light prototyping to clearly communicate user flow through the system. Iterating and refining wireframes based on feedback and requirements.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to define user requirements and specifications. This includes researching competing products and developing a functional understanding of the product landscape for direct competing systems as well as systems in tangential spaces.
Quality Assurance: Proactively in QA processes to ensure exceptional UX in product releases.
Visual Design: Step in for high-level visual design tasks, particularly for custom interactions.
Marketing Alignment: Contribute to web UX for marketing materials ensuring a cohesive brand experience.
Tool Mastery: Utilize industry-standard tools such as Figma, Adobe Suite, Jira, and Invision effectively.
Deliverable Management: Executing within timelines and the needs of the fast-paced organization
Collaboration: Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and designers to understand user needs and requirements.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3-5 years in UX Design, preferably familiar with B2B and enterprise systems. Most particularly enterprise ux patterns are more so than enterprise organizations.
Technical Skills: Expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and user flow creation.
Tools: Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Suite, Jira, Invision, and other UX tools. Familiar with design component frameworks like Tailwinds, Bootstrap, etc...
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to improve UX. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, or Mixpanel to derive insights from user behavior and analytics data
Communication: Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Additional Preferences:
Prior experience in a rapidly evolving startup environment.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
